We encourage everyone to experience the Lakeview Urbandale Kiwanis Outdoor Center any time – Dawn to Dusk – year round. It’s a great place to take your dog for a walk, have a picnic, or just relax in a beautiful natural setting. We have 60 acres with about 2 miles of groomed trails. Explore them all in every season.
Be aware that we keep the Outdoor Center in its most natural condition. As such it contains numerous hazards that may “trip up” or otherwise injure the unwary visitor. Please stay within the trails or other mowed areas to reduce risk.
Please park outside the entrance gate and walk in. We do not permit visitors to drive onto the property or to camp overnight except by prior authorization.
Please respect the property and everything on it. Do not deface, damage, or remove, any items on the property including trees, rocks, signs, birdhouses, buildings, outhouses, equipment, or anything else. Our volunteers have worked hard to make the site as inviting and functional as possible and we insist that you respect it so that others can enjoy it as well.
No hunting or fishing is allowed. Guns are not permitted on the site. The Outdoor Center is also a Wildlife Refuge and a habitat for numerous birds, rodents, insects, and mammals. Do not interfere with nests or burrows, and do not disrupt normal animal behavior. Control your dogs to ensure they do not harm any of our animals either.
No dumping is allowed. Please leave nothing behind except footprints when you leave. Refuse containers are provided for your convenience.
Bring your dog. Tell a friend. It’s Battle Creek’s hidden gem.
